Yishun Secondary School set a Singapore Book of Records achievement at its YSS40 Weave of Unity event. Over 1,000 participants wove paracord keychains together, marking 40 years of community and shared purpose.
YSS40 Weave of Unity Sets Singapore Book of Records
As part of the YSS40 celebrations, Yishun Secondary School marked a significant milestone on 5 March 2026 with the Weave of Unity event. Students, teachers and staff came together in a meaningful activity that symbolised the strength of the school community — each strand contributing to a stronger whole.
During the event, the YSS community successfully set a Singapore Book of Records achievement for the Most Number of People Weaving Paracord Keychains at the Same Time, with 1,151 participants. The paracord keychain serves as a tangible representation of the school’s 40-year journey and achievements. Each knot in the weave symbolises significant milestones, successful cohorts and notable accomplishments in the school’s history.
